Soundfonts - Digital Sample Library

The SoundFont Sample format was pioneered by E-mu system is now widely accepted in digital software samplers from
Steinberg's Halion Sampler to Emagic's EXS24. Also, all newer E-mu samplers and Creative Labs soundcards support this sample format. Soundfonts store all sample parameters such as sound name, keyboard range in the file so importing a SoundFont file into your hardware or software sampler is easy as can be.
